Tips to spot excellent value in tungsten carbide wedding bands

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

I will explain how to tell if bevel edge rings are high quality or low quality without looking at price.

beveled tungsten rings, we are talking specifically about the craftsmanship or design of the rings.|There should be no reason for bevel edge rings to have sharp edges, except that the manufacturer did not want to take the time to do make the perfect ring.}

Thickness is measured from the inside of the ring where it touches your finger to the highest point on the outside surface of the ring.

This is especially true with jewelry.

Another symptom of poor craftsmanship is asymmetry, meaning one side of the ring looks different from the other side of the ring.

You can still figure out if the on-line retailer is carrying high quality tungsten rings.

On-line retailers that put up professional looking pictures and allow you to see the pictures enlarged with details are showing you “what you see is what you get”.

Make sure it is not off centered, unless it is intentionally designed that way.

Retailers that publish specifications on ring thickness, weight, width etc… are also showing you they have tungsten wedding rings that are high quality because they are paying attention to the characteristics mentioned above that differentiate high quality tungsten rings from low quality ones.

The reason the manufacturer would hire these unqualified workers is because the manufacturer is trying to cut costs by paying lower wages to less experienced workers.

I have spent many years working with manufacturers in the tungsten wedding band industry to slowly learn how to spot the difference between high quality and low quality tungsten rings.

Chances are if they have clear professional photographs, product details in each ring’s description and offer at least 30 days for you to return the ring if you are not happy, they are showing you they have nothing to hide, they stand behind their products and they are confident you will be happy with your purchase.

It is my hope that after reading this article, couples can quickly make a more informed decision when choosing to purchase a tungsten wedding ring.

Finishes that show signs of inconsistencies are an indication of shoddy equipment and/or inexperienced labor.

After all, they are supposed to serve you, the customer.

Brown Diamonds Have Found Their Time

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Diamonds have been sought after since they were discovered and they are still as popular as ever. There is no indication these sparkling gems will ever drop their rich status. As the popularity of different styles and types of jewelry changes diamonds will eternally be wanted.

One type of diamond that has become remarkably hot in the last few years is the colored diamond, especially the yellows and browns. Stated simply a colored diamond is a real diamond that is colored instead of clear. These diamonds have the same properties, are created from the same components and have the same brilliant sparkle but instead of being white or colorless they have a color, ranging from light to intense. Some colored diamonds are made this way by nature in the earth’s surface, some are entirely synthetic, and some are real diamonds are color enhanced in a lab. The ones that are mined with color are the most valued, but each of these colored diamonds have become quite popular.

Colors including blues and pinks have always been more valued, but recently the browns and yellows have won a lot of attention. The browns and yellows were formerly considered low color and not acceptable for jewelry, instead they were usually utilized for industrial needs. But these earthy colored gems have come a long way and with the help of celebrities wearing them on the red carpet they are holding their newly attained status. If you have seen an eye-catching chocolate diamond ring you will definitely know why.

These light and dark brown treasures work well with different skin and hair colors making them perfect for anyone to wear elegantly. They also work well with either gold or silver, and with the move towards earthy colors and styles these sparkling beauties fit the bill. Whether they will continue to be as hot as they are today is still to be determined, but having that diamond status will likely help them remain popular. After all “a diamond is forever” whether white or colored.

Dads Practical Guidelines To Abide By While You Are Searching For Antique Wedding Rings

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

Classic wedding rings are becoming more and more p referred.  When purchasing an antique wedding ring there will be many things you must consider.  One significant thing is to confirm they are compatible with the engagement ring.  You do not need to pick an antique marriage ring which is so  intricate that it clashes with the engagement ring or detracts from its beauty.  It is usually a good idea to try on many different antique marriage rings and see how they look with your engagement ring.

Despite the fact that antique wedding rings are already a singular symbol of your  love you can make them even extra exceptional by having them engraved.  There are numerous various messages you can choose to put including your marriage date,  initials, or other special symbol.  Your marriage ring is a symbol of your  continual commitment to each other.  Take your time and  make them just the way you want them.

While purchasing an antique ring take into account that this piece of jewelry is  designed to be worn all the time.  This means it’s critical to purchase a ring which is well designed and in good condition.   Always select the highest quality antique wedding ring that your budget will  allow.  This is a symbol of long-term affection between you and your partner and not  something you would like to stint on.

After you choose the antique marriage ring make sure to have it professionally cleaned and sized.  On the day of your wedding the last you want to do is fumble with a ring that does not fit right while you are exchanging your promises.  A ring that is too small won’t go onto your finger and a ring which is too  giant might just fall off in the middle of the event.  Having your ring resized can take some time so this is not a job you want to leave until the very last minute.
