You Can Have a Smaller Wedding

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

There are many reasons why anybody would like to have a small wedding. Having a wedding is a huge stress for any bride and groom small or big but a smaller wedding is less of a stress. Having to deal with the cost of having the wedding is also a stress and this is another reason why many brides and grooms would like to have a smaller wedding.

If you ask any couple that has had the experience of having a big wedding what they would have changed if they could have and many times the answer will be the size. You should always consider large weddings from time to time. A lot of couples that are planning weddings hope to have it small but do not know how they will be able to do it.

Family pressures can help throw any wedding guest list out of proportion. To avoid this you could pick a place to have the wedding that can only accommodate few people. If you are having a smaller wedding you should not have the pressure to go all out and have expensive decorations. Smaller weddings help the bride and the groom be more at ease.

Having a wedding is based on intimacy and by having a smaller wedding make this a lot easier for the bride and groom to do, which is like large weddings. Exchanging vows in front of many guest that you do not know can be harder then doing it in front of a smaller crowed that you know well.

A great way to cut your wedding size down is to have the big day on a day that is not convenient to people. For example you could have your wedding date during the week, by doing this people who are scheduled to work will not be showing up and the people who are very close to you will be there. This is typical of most big weddings. Also another good idea is to book your wedding date a day before or a day after an important holiday this is when most people a busy with other plans.
