The Latest in Personalized Gifts Selections

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

When you give a gift truly personalized to the recipient, you say something very important. You communicate that the recipient is someone who is important enough to warrant going the “extra mile” in selecting something special. As times grow evermore hectic and harried, it is difficult to find the time to shop and find the perfect gift.

Personalized gifts and jewelry is an obvious choice, especially if you’re giving a gift to a loved one. Your imagination is the only limit on the wide variety of personalized jewelry items available. Personalized rings, bracelets, rings and pendants are all options if you’re looking for something to make individual to the recipient. Classic examples of personalized jewelry include monogrammed pieces as well as items bearing initials and names. Thinking creatively, though, you can go even further. Engraving phrases or poems with personal meaning is one idea for gifts for him. Giving a necklace with charms corresponding to the number of children or grandchildren a woman has is another idea.

With the advent of the Internet, plenty of unique options exist for less intimate personalized gifts. For the child that loves to read, perhaps you choose a personalized book or game. It’s even possible to purchase CDs with songs sung with the child’s name. The point is that creative minds all over have come up with amazing ways to personalize gifts in unique and wonderful ways.

For the man in your life, personalized gifts are available as well for gifts for dad. Of course, the monogrammed ring is a classic favorite, so don’t assume personalized jewelry is restricted to women. However, if the man is not the jewelry type, many other options exist. Personalizing golf clubs, mounting sports equipment, or engraving a watchband are all possibilities.

It takes some thinking to determine the things that are most important to an individual. Identifying hobbies, pursuits and passions of your recipient is the key to understanding the best gift and method of personalization. Don’t rule out experiences personalized to the individual. Many restaurants and destinations have means by which they can offer a personalized experience to an individual.

Giving a gift with a degree of personalization, such as personalized jewelry, says to the recipient that you care enough to take the time to select something special. Everyone struggles to find time to fit it all in. By selecting something individualized, it shows a special level of care. The gift recipient will feel like the gift was selected with them particularly in mind.

The Fisher Price Camera For Creative Kids

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Fisher Price have a long standing tradition when it comes to kids toys. If you have never heard of them then what planet have you been living on?

Like any toy that Fisher Price make their range of digital cameras for kids are equally high quality and are built to last. Their latest version of the original Fisher Price Camera is called the ‘Kid Tough’ and for good reason.

The camera is designed to be used by kids from the age of 3 and is a great improvement on the original design. This latest creation is built to handle a lot more knocks and some reviewers have claimed that it will even withstand a fall down the stairs.

Plus they have also made it a lot more waterproof so kids can use the camera to take pictures outside in the rain or even a drop into the bath.

It looks like Fisher Price have listened to the feedback from customers and built the camera to be one of the most reliable and robust for young creative kids.

Along with its ability to withstand lots of ‘abuse’ the Fisher Price Camera is also capable of taking up to 60 pictures on its 8MB card and up to 500 pictures on the 64MB card. Enough for young creative minds to keep snapping all day at a trip to the zoo or any family activity day.

This Waterproof Camera also features a 3.8cm colour LCD preview screen where kids can see the pictures instantly and view or delete previous pictures! The image resolution can be selected by the user as 1.3 or .3 Megapixels and it also comes with Auto-flash to enhance darker places!

The Fisher Price Camera is one for the gift bag of any kid over 3 and will last the test of time even with lots of rough handling.

My do it yourself weekend

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

In today’s world we are often only consuments. Have you thought how rewarding getting creative yourself can be?

I want to show you three different ways to get creative! I will cover three different fields, so there will be something for everyone. The three different fields are reading, knitting and making a photo calendar.

My first idea for getting creative is making a special bookmark: a funny bookworm bookmark. I found this on a german website on bookmarks called lesezeichenladen.de. You can find the instructions in the section Bücherwurm basteln. Have Fun!

The second idea, although I must admit that most probably this will appeal more to women, is to knit a nice looking cap for the colder season. A fine set of instructions can be found on wunderfaser.de, the section is called Mütze stricken. I personally own one of those (to be honest, it was a present, but it was made using these instructions…)

The third idea for you creative minds out there is to make a photo calender with your own pictures. It is done using all free software. The instructions and the software can be found on www.naturfotokalender.de (section: Kalender mit Fotos selbst erstellen.)

Hope you enjoy my tips for a creative time! Go and do something yourself, you will be proud of it!
