How To Be Successful In Affiliate Marketing

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Those of you who want to get into affiliate marketing need to possess the necessary skills to be successful. You should maximize your potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful affiliate marketing business.

The number of affiliate programs just a few years back was much smaller than it is today. Having an affiliate program that is successful is not as easy anymore. The days when programs could generate considerable revenue for the affiliate even if they were poorly managed are over, therefore the requirements to be successful are much higher than they were in the past.

Signing up for an affiliate program and sending others to the merchants’ site doesn’t guarantee success. Many affiliate marketers fail to understand this and when they don’t make sales they quit, look for other programs, and repeat the same mistake.

Like all businesses, there are lots of pitfalls in the affiliate marketing business. Committing some of the most common mistakes can cost affiliates a large portion of the profit they could be making everyday. That is why it is better to avoid them than be regretful in the end.

Some people think they will easily make a fortune on the internet with affiliate marketing. However the same people don’t not even bother learning the basics of affiliate marketing let alone the mistakes most affiliates make, and the essential components necessary for successful affiliate marketing.

The average affiliate marketer just goes out and finds a product, any product that has a high commission, and throws up a link and sits back and hopes that someone will click on it and buy the product. Don’t be average!

Internet marketing isn’t as easy as some people claim that it is. You can make a living on the internet if you know what to sell and how to sell. Accept that first you have to study hard to be able to promote your affiliate business.

You don’t need a degree in marketing to achieve online success. However, you do need an online marketing plan to help define your business and promote it.

The best way is to do it slowly but surely. There is really no need to rush into things, especially with affiliate marketing as it will be around for a long time to come.

Assuming you are already into affiliate marketing, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?

The willingness to learn.

One of the most important factors in becoming successful in affiliate marketing is to find a quality course on the subject because the essence of affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. If you want to be successful in affiliate marketing you have to learn the techniques of marketing products or services.

You need to learn how to pick the best affiliate programs, negotiate a commission raise and save time, money and effort on everything from affiliate software to web hosting.

Rosalind Gardner’s best-selling step-by-step guide, the The Super Affiliate Handbook, is by far the most comprehensive on the subject of affiliate marketing and is regularly updated to reflect industry changes. She raked in over $436,797.00 in one year selling other people’s stuff online and now makes even more. But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself.

Niche Marketing And How To Avoid Deadly Mistakes When Starting Out

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

It would be true to state that most people make little to no money with affiliate marketing. This may be so for a wide range of reasons, but the underlining factor for most resons would be faulty thinking and reasoning.

My advice would be to explore your current situation, determine what are the major problems that you encounter and see if your mindset supports your goals and objectives, or if it sabotages you on each step of the way.

A big mistake that I see new affiliate marketers make is when they get into a new niche market. They either choose the wrong market, with low earning capacity, or they miscalculate the time, effort and money that needs to be invested in order for them to turn a profit.

For example, people sometimes choose a market that doesn’t have many products in demand, where people mostly search for free fixes to their problems. One way to see if a market is profitable is by searching for products in that market and seeing if th product names get any search engine traffic. If they do, then that market is something to consider.

Another point that I would like to make is that you need to choose the right monetization method when entering a niche market. If a lot of people search for actual products, then affiliate links are the way to go. On the other hand, if they are searching for more generic terms, then I would recommend considering Adsense as an alternative.

I could go on for days talking about why people fail at internet affiliate marketing, but I will point out once again that mindset, in my opinion, is the most important thing. Mindset dictates your actions and even your thoughts. They are what determine how successful you’ll be in the end.

Review of the new Google Shadow product from the DJK team

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Below is my review of the new DJK Google Shadow product.  I hope you enjoy it!

Google Shadow is coming, and it promises to be an stimulating program, specially for the Affiliate Marketers out thither. The product is set to launch next Tuesday February 5, 2009.  So let me inform you of what Google Shadow is going to be about.

Once upon a time, Google Cash was a great method for making money.  All you really needed was a small investment and a good sense for recognizing converting affiliate offers.  The plan was simply to buy Adwords ads and plant the landing page immediately to your affiliate link.  You were set it you could only drop less on advertisements that what you were making on sales. Who wouldn’t pay one dollar bill to get two?

Sending traffic was a dream that became a disaster after the Google Slap has happened.  Hello Google Slap, good-bye Google Cash.

So, what is Google Shadow about?

The short story of it is that the Day Job Killer group have revealed an affiliate (Tim Houston aka “The Google Shadow”) who is making almost 100000 dollars a month with the good old Google Cash method (adwords but having no website).

This is one of the greatest things for an affiliate marketer who doesn’t want to waste any time making sites and simply wants to find the best opportunities.  Hence we find the reason many internet marketers never build their own websites and outsource to save that time.

Some information to think about…

One hindrance of PPC is you need some money to begin with.  Setting a budget that is easily within your means is the smartest way to start.  Of course if you have zero previous experience you will need to learn how to choose keywords, split test your ads, and different normal advertisement activities, but the good news is the Google Shadow system will not only incorporate training but will also incorporate a semiautomatic software.
